How safe are my deposits?
• Your bank deposits are not only safe with us, they're covered by FDIC deposit insurance up to the maximum allowable by law.
• If you have $250,000 or less in combined Clifton Savings deposits, you do not need to worry about insurance coverage - your deposits are insured through December 31, 2013.
• The FDIC has implemented a new program for participating institutions that will provide full deposit insurance coverage for all funds in non-interest-bearing transaction deposit accounts through December 31, 2009.
• If you have more than $250,000 in deposits with us, your funds may still be insured depending on the type of account you have and the ownership category.
Are my business accounts covered in the same way as my personal accounts?
• In general, business accounts receive $250,000 in FDIC deposit insurance coverage, including municipalities.
• Funds owned by a business that is a sole proprietorship are not insured under this category; they are insured as the single account funds of the person who is the sole proprietor.
